Initial In-Home Lactation Consultation
90 minutes

A personalized, in-home visit is designed to honor your infant feeding goals, address your questions and feeding challenges, and guide your decision making with evidence-based support.

This visit generally includes:

  • A comprehensive maternal and infant assessment

  • Weight check for baby (pre/post feeding)

  • Observation of a feeding session

  • Guidance on positioning, latch, and comfort

  • Troubleshoot a variety of lactation concerns

  • Development of an individualized care plan

  • Follow-up communication up to 1 week

Follow-Up Lactation Consultation
60 minutes

A follow-up visit provides continued guidance as your feeding journey evolves. We’ll review progress, address new questions/challenges, and adjust your care plan.

This visit may include:

  • In-home or virtual consultation

  • Reassess feeding and weight progress

  • Refine latch, positioning, and/or pumping techniques

  • Provide ongoing education and encouragement

  • Update individualized care plan

  • Follow-up communication up to 1 week

Virtual Lactation Consultation
60 minutes

A virtual visit is ideal for addressing feeding questions, pumping support, and follow-up care that does not require in-person assessment.

During our session, we may:

  • Discuss your feeding goals and current concerns

  • Observe a feeding (as appropriate via video)

  • Offer guidance on positioning, latch, and pumping

  • Review strategies for milk supply, bottle feeding, or returning to work

  • Create a care plan tailored to your family’s needs

  • Follow-up communication up to 1 week

Prenatal Lactation Education
60 minutes

Preparing before your baby arrives can build confidence and increase feeding success in the early days. Ideal and recommended for every new family!

During our session, we may:

  • Discuss your birth plan, feeding goals, and support

  • Review newborn behaviors and early feeding cues

  • Learn breastfeeding positions, how to achieve a deep latch, and signs feeding is going well

  • Talk through common challenges, how navigate issues, when to seek help and how to find trusted resources

  • Provide education on pumping and flange fitting

  • Follow-up communication up to 1 week
