My Story
Over 11 years ago, my daughter Avalyn (her name meaning beautiful bird) came into this world. Beautiful Bird Lactation represents the immense joy and gratitude of becoming a mother after a long journey to fill my nest. It also signifies a seed that was planted during my own struggles to breastfeed our daughter. We faced many challenges and I’m forever grateful to the lactation consultant that guided me. With the right support and interventions, we were finally able to exclusively breastfeed when she turned 6 weeks old.
From that moment on, I felt a strong desire to support families on their feeding journey.
I took a leap of faith and pursued a three year journey to gain the knowledge and clinical skills to achieve the gold standard certification within the field of lactation. I did this all while working as an SLP and caring for my family. As you can see, I’m passionate about improving maternal care!
Your feeding journey matters
I began my private practice because I believe in providing quality care and getting to the root of the problem.
I believe families need more support, education, and guidance in those early days when everything can feel overwhelming.
Being with you during this sacred and vulnerable time is an honor — one I never take for granted.
I strive to provide compassionate, respectful care that is grounded in evidence-based practices. I love what I do and look forward to supporting you!
